Communication training

Non-verbal communication

Up to 80 percent of any conversation consists of non-verbal communication. Awareness of this fact means you can apply mime, gesture and body language consciously and effectively. While completing various tasks in total silence you have the opportunity to explore your existing non-verbal communication repertoire, to develop this and to implement your insights in your personal and professional life.

Paraphrasing

In order to understand the content of a discussion during a meeting or a face-to-face dialogue with a colleague, you have, on the one hand, to listen very attentively and, on the other hand, to also observe the non-verbal communication behavior of others. Sometimes using the technique of paraphrasing is helpful, i.e. repeating or rephrasing something in other words and incorporating the level of non-verbal communication as well. This allows you to mirror your understanding of the content and thus to generate mutual understanding.

A training session in silence shows the impact of mime, gesture and body language with the emphasis on achieving an optimum understanding between the parties.

Communication and consultancy

The relationship between client and provider/consultant is important to establish sustained customer retention. But it is often difficult to align the client’s needs with the product offered in order to maximize the benefit for both parties. Non-verbal communication in particular allows greater clarification of the expectations of both client and provider/consultant.

A training session in total silence provides new opportunities for authentic communication with customers. Through non-verbal role plays, using only gesture, mime and body language, you gain a better understanding of consultancy and find new ways of reaching a common understanding.

Communication coaching

Communication is often the key to an individual’s success and thus has a crucial influence on the whole company’s successful performance. To improve your communication skills, you have to become aware of the image others have of you and the impact of this. In this context it is essential to examine the different levels of communication: both the verbal and non-verbal level. Training sessions with visually impaired trainers in the dark and hearing impaired trainers in silence allow you to obtain feedback on your communication skills. After these training sessions your communication behavior is analyzed and you receive individual feedback on how to optimize the impression you make on others in personal as well as in business life.
